Enville Old Porter - The Best Porter in the Midlands

Owen from Enville received the First Place award from beer afficionado, journalist and TV presenter, Marverine Cole at the 2012 CAMRA Regional Beer of the Year Awards in December held at the glorious Bartons Arms in Aston, Birmingham.

A Victorian Emporium, A Shrine To Cask Ale Drinking

One of the highlights in the cask ale brewing calendar is the trip to the magnificent Bartons Arms in Aston where the West Midlands CAMRA awards are presented annually. The decor has to be seen to be appreciated; Minton tiles, wrought iron staircase and Victorian 'snob screens' surrounding the bars. Photos don't do it justice but here are a few to give you a flavour.

Precision organisation, fine ales and a tasty hot fusion buffet made sure everyone enjoyed themselves so thanks to all at CAMRA and the staff at the Bartons Arms for a splendid day out.
