As we came out of 2021, after 2 tumultuous years dictated by COVID, we did not know what to expect for 2022. It ended up being a year with lots of fayres, festivals and Meet The Brewery nights. After being away from normality for so long, it was great to be able to get back out to our customers. Below are some of the events we got up to!
The Enville Team were very busy in June with bars at multiple events celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The first was the Hagley Jubilee Party in the Park, which took place on an extremely sunny Thursday. The combination of beautiful weather and an extra bank holiday saw attendees pouring into the field to enjoy a day of sunshine, good beer, live music and all round revelry. It was so busy in fact we had to make trips back to the brewery to get more beer! We ended the weekend at the Enville Jubilee Party. Sadly the weather wasn’t quite as lovely as it had been earlier in the week, but the local villagers still braved the rain to celebrate the Queen.
After a long 2 year wait (thanks, COVID!) we were finally able to attend the inaugural Black Country Food & Drink Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The event took place in the grounds of Himley Hall, and was made up of food and drink vendors from around the Midlands. Not only did we have a bar with three of our ales available on draught, but also a stall to allow the purchase of bottles, spirits and merchandise to take home. Customers relished the opportunity to try samples of our newer products like the Honey Gin and Spiced Honey Rum, as well as sample classics Enville Ale, Ginger and American Pale Ale.
The Enville Bar was conveniently situated next to the main show tent, where celebrity chefs Parveen The Spice Queen, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Rustie Lee gave demonstrations on how to cook a selection of delicious dishes as well as giving lots of useful cooking advice. Malcolm and Becky were lucky enough to taste a few of Parveen’s dishes and can confirm they were absolutely delicious!
We all had a wonderful time at the Black Country Food & Drink Festival, and hope it was the first of many to come.
If you visited the Brewery during 2022 you may have spotted that we have begun major building work on site… probably not hard to spot when one of our barns is missing a roof! We are excited that our plans to build a new office, shop and tap room are now underway. We’re hoping to create a cosy space to allow our customers to both sample and purchase all of our beers, as well as enjoy our picturesque countryside setting. We do not as of yet have a completion date, but it can’t come soon enough! We can’t wait to open our doors to you all.
What will 2023 bring? Who knows! We have lots of exciting plans, including new brews and hopefully lots of headway being made with our new shop and tap room. We hope you will stay for the ride!
