We’re Hiring: Brewery Operative & Driver

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to become an integral member of our production team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about beer, friendly, and wants to help continue our thirty year legacy as a local favourite brewery. Previous experience in the brewery or cellar trade is preferred, but not essential.

The job will primarily be based on site at the brewery and bottling plant, aiding in most areas of production. It will also involve delivering our products on an as and when needed basis. Please note this is a very physical job involving the handling of heavy goods. Applicants should enjoy variety in their daily work life, and being part of a small, hands-on team.

Key Responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Implementing the packaging of beer into cask & bottles
  • Maintaining brewery and bottling plant hygiene to the highest level
  • Assisting with the brew when required by the brew team
  • Maintenance of accurate records of packaging, cleaning and deliveries
  • Operating brewery equipment & machinery
  • Safe & efficient delivery of cask and small pack products to our trade customers off site
  • Handing over products to both trade and private sales customers in a friendly manner on site
 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Full, clean driving licence. Proven experience of driving vans preferred.
  • Safe & responsible driver
  • Manual handling & heavy lifting. Applicant must be physically capable of handling weights approximately 25-40kg
  • Forklift truck experience preferred but not essential
  • Good organisational & time management skills
  • Customer service skills
 

Full time position (37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri) with a salary from £12.21/hour depending on experience plus:

  • 28 days annual leave
